FAQs

Your frequently asked questions, answered.

Who would benefit from using the CubiSens™ Platform of sensors?

Anyone who would like to sense accurate data in places in which other sensors are too big. Basically, anyone who needs to easily and accurately track temperature or humidity, monitor movement, or protect assets. What differentiates CubiSens™ sensors from the competition?

While there are many companies making wireless sensors, the CubiSens™ Platform of sensors leads the industry in terms of size, battery life, accuracy, and performance. The CubiSens™ TC110, for example, is the world’s smallest wireless temperature sensor.

How long do the sensors last, and how often do I need to change batteries?

The CubiSens™ AH110 has a 7-year battery life, the CubiSens™ TS100 lasts up to one year, and the CubiSens™ TC110 features wireless charging for repeatable use and extended battery life, up to two years. We’ll work with you to swap out your old CubiSens™ sensors for a new set when the time comes – no changing of batteries required.

Can the sensors operate in hot temperatures? How about in cold temperatures?

The sensors can operate at temperatures ranging from 10ºC to 55ºC (50ºF – 131ºF). In the case of the CubiSens™ TC110, the temperature range spans an impressive 0ºC to 105ºC (32ºF – 221ºF).

Are CubeWorks sensors waterproof?

Yes, both CubiSens™ TC110 and CubiSens™ TS100 sensors are fully waterproof. We apply a waterproof epoxy as well as a parylene coating, making the devices safe for long-term implantation and immersion in liquids.

How accurate are the sensors in terms of temperature sensing?

The sensors are remarkably accurate and lead the industry in accuracy and reliability. The CubiSens™ TC110 boasts superior temperature accuracy of ±0.05°C, the CubiSens™ TS100 has ±0.1°C temperature accuracy (±0.05°C is available upon request), and the CubiSens™ AH110 has temperature accuracy of ±0.1°C.

Can the sensors be implanted in animals?

Yes. The CubiSens™ TS100 is encapsulated in bio-compatible epoxy for use in animal model studies. Plus, its small size and completely wire-free design means minimal incision implants for in vivo experiments, the ability to group house mice, and improved animal well-being, in addition to other benefits.

Can the sensors be reused?

The CubiSens™ TC110 features wireless charging for repeatable use and extended battery life, up to two years.

Do I have to purchase and install a special software program in order to access readings from the sensors?

Data acquisition software is included with purchase of the CubiSens™ Gateway. Using this software, data will be transferred to your computer for analysis and storage.

How much do the sensors and the CubiSens™ Gateway cost?

I need help with using the sensors. Do you charge an additional fee for support-related questions?

We do not. Please send us an email at info@cubeworks.io with any questions.
